Management contribution

BIM management

Together with the BIM Leader, I contribute to the BEP, strategies, workflows and standards that align the team with Aldar’s EIR.

01 / AL FIRAS

Context

The BIM team’s annual report brings together work across Yas Riva, Bloom, Special Tasks and SHA, with additional technical presentation and construction sequencing activity.

02 / AL FIRAS

The challenge

Construction BIM connects many kinds of work: incoming IFC reviews, modeling, coordination, drawings, quantities, communication and reporting. Those activities need a common structure across disciplines.

03 / AL FIRAS

My role

The report identifies Ahmed Attia as BIM Manager. My role sits within a team structure that includes a BIM Leader, coordinators and discipline engineers.

04 / AL FIRAS

My contribution

The report attributes development and maintenance of the BEP, BIM strategies, workflows and standards jointly to the BIM Leader and BIM Manager. I present that as a shared management contribution.

05 / AL FIRAS

Process

The team compares information, develops models, coordinates disciplines, records issues, produces shop drawings and makes progress visible through dashboards and presentations.

06 / AL FIRAS

BIM / technical strategy

Aldar’s EIR provides the requirements against which management documentation is developed. Federation, clash detection, data management and model validation form part of the framework.

07 / AL FIRAS

Coordination

Model findings flow into coordination discussions, RFIs and technical letters. Daily contact between the BIM team, site and consultant supports review and response.

08 / AL FIRAS

Output

The report records 1,092 shop drawing sheets, 153 RFIs and 10 dashboards across the team’s work. These are report snapshots of team outputs, not individual achievements or live indicators.

09 / AL FIRAS

Result

The report shows a construction-stage BIM function spanning production, coordination and management. It provides evidence of delivered work without independently establishing project-wide savings.
